Description
The A.O. Smith 9009148005 Aluminum Anode Outlet 5-inch Nipple 23-inch Long is a replacement plumbing component used in storage tank water heaters to support anode rod installation and outlet connection in HVAC systems. It provides a threaded pathway for mounting and servicing sacrificial and protective systems, which supports the decrease internal tank corrosion. The assembly is installed at the water heater outlet where hot water is distributed to building plumbing lines. It is used in commercial water heating systems, including with integrated clean or domestic hot water production, where maintenance access and corrosion control are required for consistent operation.
