The Rheem-Ruud 43-25135-03 Oval Dual-Run Capacitor is a film-forming unit rated at 35 microfarads for the compressor and 5 microfarads for the condenser fan motor, both housed in a single enclosure at 370 volts AC. Two independent capacitance sections store and release electrical charge that sustains winding current through each motor’s full run cycle. In condenser units and split-unit HVAC systems, the diminished reading on the section raises current draw at the compressor winding, accelerating motor deterioration significantly until the corresponding scheduled inspection.
