The Amana-Goodman CAP015000500RP Capacitor is an electrical voltage regulator used in HVAC systems to assist in the performance of motors in compressors and blower assemblies. To ensure the current & voltage remain constant, the unit is working at 50 Hz and 60 Hz with a capacitance of 1.5 microfarads and a 500 VAC rating. It is mounted in the control compartment and it is connected to motor terminals according to the wiring requirements. This stabilizes the flow of electricity, decreases the workload on the motor during the working process, and allows for a more favorable start-up.
