The Carrier 5028163S Filter Drier is a liquid line unit that removes moisture, acids, and particulate contamination from the refrigerant circuit to protect system components and maintain clean refrigerant flow. Its desiccant-filled core captures internal impurities while allowing smooth refrigerant passage through the HVAC systems such as split cooling circuits, compressor-based refrigeration equipment, evaporator coil connections, and packaged cooling units. This 3/8-inch ODF connection type is brazed into the refrigerant piping where filtration and drying are required to ensure system protection, and its contaminant removal capability improves refrigerant purity.
