Carrier EA02SC172 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) Kit is a refrigerant flow controller that allows the volume entering the evaporator to be adjusted according to the load, and is frequently applied in cooling units in HVAC systems, to operate at a balanced load. It works by detecting changes in temperature and pressure to open the valve, accordingly to maintain the correct amount of superheat. It connect to the refrigerant line at the evaporator inlet and is part of the system that control flow.
