Description
The Carrier HH18HA137 is an essential safety part used in most Carrier HVAC systems, particularly furnaces and air handlers. They are responsible for protecting the system from overheating and shutting down operation when the temperatures are outside a set limit. This is normally mounted near the heat exchanger, the part that is involved in transferring heat from the combustion process to air movement. The switch is designed to always monitor the temperature and when it reaches the safe operating limit for this model, between 90°F and 130°F, it turns off power to the furnace or air handler. This is to avoid any possible damages of the equipment and to also eliminate possibilities of fire outbreaks.
