Carrier KSAHS2801AAA Hard Start Kit is a component that improves the starting capacity of single phase AC and heat pump compressor. It does away with the issue of soft starts where the compressor is incapable of handling the first high current which results to low voltage, circuit breaker tripping and low efficiency. This kit used a capacitor and a relay to make sure that the compressor gets extra current to reach its operating speed without stressing. The hard start kit removes the first start current and shields the compressor and the electrical system against voltage variations, and increases the efficiency and durability of the system.
