The Daikin-McQuay 6024992 Installation Plate is a mounting product that is used to give a stable support surface to the installation of indoor units. It operates by acting as a stiff backplate that is mounted on the wall structure and the indoor unit is hooked and snapped into place during the installation in ductless mini-split HVAC systems. Mounting fasteners are used to attach the plate to the wall where the formed slots and brackets match the points of mounting the indoor unit. After being attached, the indoor unit is placed on the plate and is held against the wall.
