Description
The First Company E184 Disconnect Switch is an electrical safety part that is used to isolate power on equipment connected to it in case of service or shutdown. It operates by a manual switch part which opens or closes the electrical circuit and prevents current flow to the unit as the switch position varies during operation in air handler and fan coil HVAC systems. The disconnect switch is installed in the equipment control compartment to which the power supply wiring is connected to the switch terminals. The electrical supply to the system and assist in permitting controlled equipment shutdown and facilitate safe access to internal parts during maintenance operations.
