Description
The Hartland Controls CAP-20/10/440R Run Capacitor 20/10 MFD, 370/440V is used to support the simultaneous operation of compressor and fan motors within outdoor condensing units in HVAC systems. It is installed in the control compartment where it provides phase shifting for single-phase motors, enabling smoother startup and continuous running efficiency under load. The two capacitance ratings allow separate electrical support paths for different motor circuits within the same component. Designed for condenser applications, it helps stabilize motor performance, maintain consistent airflow, and support cooling cycle operation during system conditions.
