Description
The Heatcraft Refrigeration 5709 SPDT Defrost Termination Fan Delay Thermostat is a temperature-responsive control used in refrigeration equipment to regulate defrost cycles and fan operation in HVAC systems. It closes at 35F, and opens at 55F allowing it to stop the defrost process once the evaporator reaches a set temperature delaying fan activation until conditions are suitable. Commonly installed in walk-in coolers, freezers and condensing units, it supports proper coil temperature management. Within the system, it coordinates defrost timing and airflow, assisting maintain stable temperatures and avoiding moisture circulation during operation.
