Description
The Honeywell NP-200 Photoelectric Smoke Sensor is a reliable and affordable mechanism that is supposed to detect smoke particles, contributing to timely fire notice. This sensor uses the latest in photoelectric technology in which a beam of light is directed across a sensing chamber. The alarm is activated when the smoke particles interfere with the light in the chamber. This technology is most useful in identifying run time fires, igniting items including mattresses, upholstery and cooking oils among others and in the initial stages of a fire, they do not produce a lot of smoke.
