Description
MARS 11014 Motor Start Capacitor is an electrical component used to provide a temporary increase of energy during motor startup. It feature a capacitance range of 161 to 193 microfarads, and is rated for 110/125 volts, allowing short-duration energy storage to assist motor acceleration. This component is commonly applied in compressors, pumps and other HVAC systems where additional starting torque is required for efficient operation. Installed within the start circuit it deliver an initial power surge, and then disengages once the motor reaches operating speed during normal starting cycles.
