Description
The Rheem-Ruud 61-103652-12 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) R410A regulates refrigerant entering the evaporator according to conditions within the refrigeration circuit. Its sensing arrangement respond to evaporator conditions and adjusts the valve opening to vary the refrigerant feed. The valve is rated for 3-ton applications and is specified for R410A refrigerant, with 3/8-inch inlet and outlet connections. Installed with the sensing bulb and related refrigeration components it control refrigerant flow at the evaporator entrance. This type of metering arrangement is used in HVAC systems to keep refrigerant delivery matched to the operating requirements of the evaporator.
