The Siemens Building Technology 242-00214 2-Way Zone Valve Assembly 1regulates the flow of hot or chilled water through hydronic heating and cooling circuits. Installed into 1/2-inch NPT threaded piping loops in HVAC systems, the 24V motorized actuator drives the internal valve stem against a high-capacity 4Cv valve body. Configured as normally closed, the valve remains shut to block fluid passage when de-energized, opening only when receiving a control signal from the system controller. Controlling fluid entry manages heat transfer across local fan coils, regulates room temperatures, and supports balanced hydronic flow control across multi-zone piping.
