The Sporlan Controls 109035 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a R-22 refrigerant system with 3/8” x 1/2” ODF connection and 30” capillary length. The TXV acts as a vital part of the HVAC system because its objective is regulating refrigerant flow while ensuring the right level of superheat and efficiency of the system’s performance when cooling. This prevents stable operation and subsequently protects the compressor against liquid refrigerant which can damaging the evaporator.
