The Trane DHY01472 Liquid Line Filter Drier removes moisture, acid residue and particulate contamination from circulating refrigerant within sealed cooling circuits. Featuring a 3/8″ ODF connection, the unit directs refrigerant through an internal desiccant and filtration core that captures unwanted substances before they reach sensitive flow-control and compression sections. It is brazed into the liquid line of air conditioning units, heat pumps, and refrigeration HVAC systems, where refrigerant cleanliness is necessary for stable operation. Continuous contaminant removal assists with refrigerant conditioning, protects internal flow pathways from blockage, and supports consistent thermal exchange throughout the cooling process.
