The Trane DHY01486 Liquid Line Filter Drier removes moisture, acids, and solid contaminants from refrigerant circulating through cooling circuits before it reaches expansion and compression sections. With a 5/8-inch ODF connection and 16 cubic inches of capacity, it contains a high-absorption desiccant core and filtration medium that captures impurities carried within the fluid’s path. Rated for 165S application class, mounted in air conditioning units, heat pumps, and refrigeration HVAC systems where cooling conditioning is required for stable flow behavior. Internal purification assists with reduced blockage formation, cleaner vapor movement, and consistent thermal exchange across connected system sections.
