Description
The Trane ELM01936 Sump Heater Element is a thermal protection component designed to prevent condensate freezing within HVAC systems. It produces a regulated amount of heat to ensure that the fluid in the drain pans, or sump, remains warm. It is energized; the heating core is a resistive material that transforms electrical energy into thermal output. It assists in preventing freezing, protects drainage parts and keeps the condensate in proper condition when it is low-temperature. The element is installed in contact with the sump surface to offer localized heat distribution.
