The Trane FLR07963 Filter measures 27-1/4″ in length with a 5-inch depth and used a 5-inch expandable pleated media section that increases filtration area for improved particle capture. The layered media structure traps dust, lint, and fine airborne contaminants while allowing airflow to pass through controlled channels. Within HVAC systems such as air handling units, furnace assemblies, and central cooling setups, it is placed in the return air pathway before air reaches internal components. The dimensional structure ensures proper fit within compatible housings, while the expanded media surface maintains airflow balance, reduces particulate circulation, and assists in maintaining cleaner internal operating conditions over time.
