The Trane SWT03088 Manual Reset Limit Switch Exposed interrupts electrical operation when the monitored temperature reaches the switch’s specified limit. Its two-pole design opens two circuit conductors in parallel, while the 25A rating supports compatible electrical loads. The exposed construction provides direct access to the switch for installation and manual resetting after a temperature-related trip. The switch installs at the specified temperature, with its contacts wired into the equipment control circuit. In HVAC systems, it blocks continued operation when excessive temperature causes the contacts to open. Manual resetting requires the switch to be returned to its operating position before the controlled equipment can return to normal operation.
