This dual-setpoint control opens contacts at 234F and closes them at 188F during normal cycling, while providing high-limit shutoff at 247F to prevent overheating conditions. Its temperature-sensing bulb immerses itself in boiler water of HVAC systems, detecting thermal conditions and actuating snap-action switches that interrupt 240-volt burner circuits. Differential settings between operating and safety limits allow normal temperature swings while preventing runaway heating scenarios.
