Description
The Trane TRR2166 Transformer converts high-voltage electrical power into low-voltage current, supplying energy to thermostats, control boards, and safety parts within heating and cooling equipment. Electromagnetic induction through copper windings steps down incoming 208 or 240-volt electricity to 24 volts providing safe operational power for system controls. Mounted inside furnace cabinets, air handlers and packaged units of HVAC systems, this component ensures reliable signal transmission between user interfaces and mechanical components. It isolates sensitive electronics from dangerous voltage levels while maintaining consistent performance, enabling precise temperature regulation.
