Description
The Trane VAL06385 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) 1/2″ X 5/8″ control refrigerant flow into evaporator by adjusting its internal opening as operating conditions change. Its sensing element monitor temperature and pressure at the evaporator outlet, and control the valve position to regulate refrigerant supply. Positioned in the liquid line it connects with the evaporator, condenser, compressor, and attached refrigerant piping to maintain the intended circuit sequence in HVAC systems. The valve modulation maintain the required evaporator superheat and controls refrigerant distribution according to changing load conditions. This metering action reduces liquid refrigerant return to the compressor while maintaining controlled operation through the cooling cycle.
