The Trane VAL08548 6-Ton Reversing Valve W/O Coil 0.875″ ID X 0.875″ OD is a flow direction control component used in heat pump refrigeration systems to switch the path of reagent between heating and cooling operation modes. It redirects discharge flow between indoor and outdoor coil circuits based on system demand enabling mode reversal without altering compressor operation. Installed in heat pump condensing units, it supports efficient heat transfer by controlling flow direction through the evaporator and condenser sections.
