Description
The Trane VAL08718 Thermostatic Expansion Valve(TXV) meters high-pressure liquid refrigerant into 4-ton evaporator coils operating with R-410A. Installed into the liquid line using 3/8-inch inlet and 1/2-inch outlet connections in HVAC systems, the valve operates under system pressures up to 650 PSI. An internal sensing mechanism continuously monitors suction line temperature and pressure to adjust its variable orifice. Modulating refrigerant expansion maintains proper evaporator superheat, control refrigerant flow rates and supports steady cooling performance under variable thermal loads.
