Description
The Trane VAL09891 Thermostatic Expansion Valve is a refrigerant metering device that controls the amount of refrigerant entering the evaporator, maintain proper superheat and balanced operation within HVAC systems. It works through a sensing bulb and internal diaphragm that respond to temperature and pressure changes, adjusting the valve opening to match system demand. This allows refrigerant flow to be regulated based on load conditions. Connected along the liquid line near the evaporator coil, it is fitted using mechanical connections and secured during setup, enabling accurate flow control and stable cooling performance.
