The Trane VAL11521 4-Ton Expansion Valve (TXV) Kit is a thermostatic part assembly that meters liquid refrigerant entering the evaporator. Its sensing mechanism regulates flow in response to evaporator conditions, controlling refrigerant feed through the circuit. The 86.2 PSIG specification defines the rated pressure, while the 0.375″ ODF inlet and 0.50″ ODF outlet identify the connection sizes in HVAC systems.
