Description
The Trane VAL12183 Thermal Expansion Valve Assembly is a refrigerant metering assembly that controls the amount of liquid refrigerant that enters the evaporator coil to ensure the coils cool correctly. It is usually fitted in air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration systems in HVAC systems to react to different temperature and load situations. The valve regulates the supply of refrigerant to avoid overfeeding or underfeeding of the coil and maintain appropriate evaporator pressure and effective heat exchange. In the system, it supports maintaining the same temperatures indoors, shields the compressor against the loads of operation, and also supports ensuring a better general performance.
