Description
The Trane VAL12334 4-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) for use in air conditioning and heat pump systems. This important part controls the amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator coil. It works through the function of the refrigerant that leaves the evaporator, to control the refrigerant to provide the needed cooling or heating. When the refrigerant takes heat and evaporates into vapor, the TXV gets to know the temperature change and adjusts the valve opening. This allows for heat exchange and also avoids the direct passage of liquid refrigerant to the compressor which may damage its ability to accurately regulate the refrigerant flow increasing energy conservation and comfort.
