The Trane PLT5210 Contactor Shorting Bar is used to short out contactors effectively and safely to avoid accidental operation of the contactors. This product is applied in HVAC systems especially in air conditioning and commercial refrigerator systems to avoid electrical hazards. The shorting bar establishes a straight-line connection from the contractor’s main terminals to ensure that isolation is achieved during its maintenance or servicing. It also optimizes the technical efficiency since the contactor is prevented from engaging, which is vital during servicing or replacement.
