Description
The Trane VAL9482 12.5-Ton Thermostatic Expansion Valve is a metering part installed in an HVAC system to regulate the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator coil depending on the load and superheat required. It was aimed at bigger commercial systems and has 5/8 x 7/8 connections and a 5-foot capillary tube that is optimized with the R-410A refrigerant. The pressure and temperature are measured, and the flow of refrigerant is controlled by it by mounting it in the liquid line between the evaporator and the condenser. Its purpose in the HVAC system.
