Description
The Watts ETX15 1/2” Diaphragm Expansion Tank is used to accommodate the changes in pressure in the hydronic heating systems to avoid damage to the pipes, valves and other components. This particular expansion tank has a diaphragm that separates the air chamber from the water chamber and is designed to effectively handle thermal expansion by expanding the volume of water when heated. It is used in HVAC systems to regulate the pressure and prevent water hammer in the systems, the advantages include prolongation of the useful life of the HVAC equipment and improved system efficiency due to proper pressure regulation.
