Description
The Automation Components Inc (ACI) 142382 Analog Split Current Sensor operates as a system for HVAC system electrical current monitoring. The system implements an analog split-core design which enables simple installation that requires no interruption to existing wiring. The sensor determines the amount of current passing through a conductor and then generates a proportional 0-10VDC signal output. The building automation systems use this output signal to control various parts of equipment including fans pumps and compressors. The system uses a clamp mechanism to detect current while the magnetic field from flowing electricity creates a voltage that is transformed into the 0-10VDC output.
