Description
The Trane SWT04525 Safe-T-Switch SS3 Gen3 is a condensate overflow safety switch designed for use with primary or auxiliary drain pans in HVAC systems. It monitors rising water levels caused by blocked condensate lines and automatically interrupts system operation to assist in preventing overflow inside residential or commercial spaces. Commonly installed in air handlers, furnaces, and cooling units, this switch supports proper condensate management in attic, closet, or basement installations. Its role within the HVAC system is to provide shutdown protection when drainage issues occur, assisting property owners to identify maintenance problems before water leakage affects surrounding equipment or building areas.
