The Trane VAL00388 Diaphragm Valve regulates and isolates fluid pathways within hydronic and refrigeration circuits in HVAC systems. Installed directly into liquid piping using 1/2-inch connections, the valve features an internal flexible diaphragm that moves against a precise seating surface. Actuating the valve stem compresses the diaphragm to open or completely seal off fluid passage through the body. Proper fluid control prevents unwanted reverse flow, maintains correct system operating pressures, and supports smooth, leak-free operation across continuous heating or cooling cycles.
