Description
The Trane SEN00406 Temperature Sensor is a 10K ohm thermistor probe measuring 0.25″ in diameter and 2.00″ in length, with a 156″ cable carrying resistance-based temperature data from -10F to 150F back to the unit’s control board. As water or refrigerant temperature shifts, the probe’s resistance changes proportionally, with no external signal conditioning needed between the sensing point and the board. Across chillers, central air conditioning units, and water-cooled parts in large-scale HVAC systems, the accuracy of this probe directly regulate how the refrigeration circuit responds to each load change.
