Description
The Trane VAL02373 Adjustable Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is used to manage the flow of refrigerant within the HVAC systems to adjust superheat, cooling efficiency and compressor protection. It is also made to run on R-22 refrigerant, and can be field adjusted to local operating conditions and loads by adjusting the valve superheat setting. It is mounted in the liquid line to the evaporator and connected to its sensing bulb to respond to changes in temperature to adjust the flow of refrigerant. It is able to reduce coil flooding and facilitate efficient absorption.
