The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith WTR2041K Outdoor Flow Switch 100232493 is utilized in water heating and HVAC systems to detect water flow within piping systems. It is mounted in either outdoor or indoor piping runs where the flow of water is to be detected in order to operate safely. In practice, it is used to make sure that pumps and heating equipment do not dry fire or cause damage when water is circulating. An indicator to the control system of the presence of water flow so that boilers, heaters, or circulating pumps can operate correctly.
