Description
The Trane THT02855 Thermostat Limit Switch is a temperature-activated safety control. It is calibrated to open at 145F, interrupting electrical continuity when excessive heat is detected. The switch is installed in heating equipment such as furnaces or air handlers to monitor internal temperatures near heat exchangers or discharge air paths. When the set limit is reached, it shuts down burners or disables components to prevent overheating and protect system parts. It resets after temperature drops to better levels, supporting controlled operation in residential and commercial HVAC installations.
